This program is for Apartment Association members in Northwestern Pennsylvania who provide outstanding exterior improvements to their rental units during the current year. The intent of the AANP Exterior Improvement Rental Awards Program is to recognize members that take pride in their properties, through upgrading and improvements. Improving the housing market in Northwestern Pennsylvania also improves the neighborhoods and creates a better place to own and manage income properties. The Rental Awards Program is based upon a "curbside view". Judges do walk on the property so that the backyard can be reviewed.
This program is for Apartment Association members in Northwestern Pennsylvania who provide outstanding improvements to a residential property in the past 12 months. The intent of this AANP Flip Awards Program is to recognize members for improving properties. Improving the housing market in Northwestern Pennsylvania improves the neighborhoods and creates a better place to own and manage income properties.
All members of the AANP having income rental units in Northwestern Pennsylvania are encouraged to submit properties for consideration of an award by the AANP. Members are limited to a maximum of two entries per year. Properties owned or managed by an AANP Board Member, spouses or Awards Committee member are not eligible to be submitted. All dwellings shall be utilized for residential purposes only, and owner-occupied units such as a flat or duplex are eligible. For the Rental Awards Program, units shall be fully rented, available for rent or currently advertised for rent. For the Flip Awards Program, properties can be listed for sale or intended to be sold. No newly constructed buildings can be entered. See the Rental and Flip Awards Program entry form for the specific eligibility requirements for each category.
Each entrant shall submit a Rental Awards entry or Flip Awards entry on a form supplied by the AANP. BEFORE and AFTER pictures must be submitted with the entry as well as a description of work completed. See the requirements on the entry form. Program entry and pictures must be submitted by October 31. Labeled, emailed pictures are preferred.
Pictures of the properties may be published in a newspaper, Facebook, our website or in the AANP Newsletter and articles concerning the award could appear in the same.
