March Dinner Meeting

Safety, Security, and Saying Goodbye: A Special Dinner Meeting

Join us for an informative and meaningful evening at our upcoming dinner meeting!

We are pleased to welcome Officer Dan Potts, from the City of Erie K-9 Unit, who will be    presenting on the critical topic of detecting guns and illegal drugs in rental properties. Officer Potts will share insight into how K-9 units operate, what landlords should be aware of, warning signs to watch for, and how to work effectively with law enforcement when  concerns arise. This is a valuable opportunity to better understand how to protect your   properties and your tenants.

We will also hear from Matt Harris, retired Pennsylvania State Trooper and landlord, who will speak on landlord safety. With years of law enforcement experience, Matt will provide practical guidance on staying safe during property showings, tenant interactions, evictions, and other potentially high-risk situations. His presentation will offer real-world advice that every landlord and property manager can benefit from.

In addition to our guest speakers, this meeting will be especially meaningful as we say goodbye and wish the very best to Joanne Vavreck, who is retiring after 37 years of dedicated service to our association. Joanne has served in every office position throughout her tenure, always offering sound advice, steady leadership, and unwavering commitment. She has been instrumental in the growth and success of the association and has supported countless members over the years.

Please join us as we celebrate Joanne’s incredible career, thank her for her dedication, and wish her well in her next chapter.

We hope to see you there for an evening of education, appreciation, and fellowship!
